I first crossed the channel when I was two with my sister and parents onboard Zelda, our Westerly Fulmar, en-route to Holland; I've dinghy sailed since I was 4 or 5, and now sail my Streaker racing dinghy competitively, both at my sailing club and on the open circuit. I've written about the my restoration of Victoria and following adventures in PBO, and was runner up for the 2024 YJA Young Journalist of the Year Award!
Scouts has been an equally large part of my life as sailing! I have been in scouting since I was 5, going through Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and now Explorers - I spend two days a week scouting, at Explorers one day and then as a leader for 1st Hockley Beavers and Scouts. I'm passionate about ensuring Scouting is open for all, and plan to remain in Scouting for the forseeable future. Scouting has taken me on some fantastic adventures - undeniably the biggest being EIJ 2025, where I was part of the u18 staff team. I enjoyed EIJ so much that I stayed on, and am now part of the newsletter team.
My dream is to circumnavigate mainland Britain in the next few years, before setting off around the world, whilst simultaneously pursuing a career in marine journalism.
